US Military Attack On Nigeria Will Be Vicious And Sweet – Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump has intensified his warning of potential military intervention in Nigeria, citing what he described as the targeted killing of Christians by radical Islamist groups in the country’s northern region.

In a video address delivered Wednesday from behind a lectern bearing the presidential seal, Trump condemned the violence, characterizing it as a “mass slaughter” and an “existential threat” to Christianity in Nigeria.

He warned that if Nigerian authorities fail to act decisively, the United States would impose immediate consequences.

“The United States will halt all aid to Nigeria if these killings continue,” Trump declared. “There will be hell to pay.”

He further revealed that he had directed the U.S. Department of War to prepare for possible military action, stating that any intervention would be “vicious and sweet,” echoing his administration’s hardline stance on religious persecution.

Trump’s remarks included a stark rebuke of the Nigerian government’s handling of the crisis. “We are going to do things to Nigerians that Nigeria is not going to be happy about,” he said, adding that the U.S. may “go into that now disgraced country, guns-a-blazing, to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.”

He also called on U.S. lawmakers Riley Moore and Tom Cole—chairman of the House Appropriations Committee—to launch an immediate investigation into the situation and report back with findings.

Reaffirming America’s global posture on religious freedom, Trump concluded by stating that the U.S. “cannot stand by” while Christian communities face violence, whether in Nigeria or elsewhere.

The Nigerian government has yet to issue an official response to the president’s remarks. However, previous statements have rejected claims of religiously motivated violence, attributing the country’s insecurity to terrorism and criminality affecting all communities.
