The UEFA Champions League 2025/26 league phase draw took place on August 28, 2025, at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

This season features a new format with 36 teams competing in a single league phase, where each team plays eight matches against different opponents—four at home and four away.

The draw resulted in the allocation of eight opponents for each team, drawn by a supercomputer to ensure a balanced fixture list without teams facing opponents from their own association more than twice. The league phase matches will be played from September 16, 2025, through January 28, 2026.

Some notable matchups from the draw include:

• Liverpool facing Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Eintracht Frankfurt, PSV, Marseille, Qarabag, and Galatasaray.
• Manchester City will face Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Villarreal, Napoli, Bodo/Glimt, Galatasaray, and Monaco.
• Arsenal will face Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Club Brugge, Olympiacos, Slavia Praha, Kairat Almaty, and Athletic Club.
• Tottenham and Newcastle both drawn against current holders Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) along with other teams.

The knockout rounds begin with the knockout phase play-offs in February 2026, leading to the final scheduled for May 30, 2026, at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary .
