Nollywood actress and politician Tonto Dikeh shared a powerful testimony about how the Holy Spirit healed her from deep emotional struggles, including anger, pain, depression, and suicidal thoughts.
She revealed that she once lived in intense pain and depression, describing it as having “depression as my closest companion,” and even attempted suicide.
However, she was rescued by God’s love and the intervention of the Holy Spirit, who told her to “get up,” which she did, weak and trembling but alive.
Tonto explained that her healing journey involved the Holy Spirit delivering her from an uncontrollable rage that destroyed relationships and peace, and from sexual immorality, leading her to embrace celibacy as a strength rather than suppression.
She emphasized how this spiritual healing reshaped her life, bringing peace where there was once rage and pain. Her experience has made her empathetic toward others suffering from pain, encouraging them not to lose hope and to protect their spiritual peace.
Tonto highlighted that her renewed faith in God after drifting away since secondary school has been the most beautiful and fulfilling journey of her life, transforming her completely and giving her a sacred, non-negotiable peace.
