
Three-Day-Old Baby Stolen From Ekiti Health Centre
A disturbing incident unfolded at the Okeyinmi Health Centre in Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State, where a three-day-old baby was reportedly stolen under mysterious circumstances.
The disappearance was discovered early Monday morning when nurses on duty attempted to attend to the infant, only to find her missing.
The incident has sparked widespread fear and confusion within the hospital premises.
Medical staff, the baby’s mother, the facility’s security personnel, and other individuals present at the time have all been taken to the police station for questioning.
Eyewitnesses and nearby traders expressed shock, with many left speechless by the brazen nature of the crime.
According to SP Sunday Abutu, spokesperson for the Ekiti State Police Command, four suspects have been arrested in connection with the abduction.
He confirmed that they are “providing credible information that will aid the investigation process.”
The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Joseph Eribo, has ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to carry out a thorough probe and ensure the safe recovery of the child.
