
Spain has announced a 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers under head coach Luis de la Fuente.
The squad features strong representation from Barcelona with seven players included, although notable absences are goalkeeper Joan Garcia and defender Alejandro Balde.
The team will face Bulgaria on September 4 and Turkey on September 7 in their qualifying matches.
The squad’s goalkeepers are Unai Simón (Athletic Bilbao), David Raya (Arsenal), and Álex Remiro (Real Sociedad).
Defenders include Dani Carvajal (Real Madrid), Robin Le Normand (Atlético Madrid), Marc Cucurella (Chelsea), Pedro Porro (Tottenham), Dani Vivian (Athletic Bilbao), Óscar Mingueza, Dean Huijsen (Real Madrid), Pau Cubarsí (Barcelona), and Alejandro Grimaldo.
Midfielders include Rodri (Manchester City), Martín Zubimendi (Real Sociedad), Pedri (Barcelona), Gavi (Barcelona), Fabián Ruiz (Paris Saint-Germain), Dani Olmo (Barcelona), and Fermín López (Barcelona), among others.
Forwards include Álvaro Morata, Mikel Oyarzabal, Ferran Torres, Nico Williams, Lamine Yamal, and Jesús Rodríguez.
