Rwanda begin preparations for Super Eagles clash
The Amavubi of Rwanda have commenced preparations ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Head coach Adel Amrouche led the team’s first training session in Kigali on Sunday, with his assistants providing support.
The Algerian tactician has named a 28-man provisional squad for the fixture, which also includes their matchday six clash against Lesotho on Saturday.
Rwanda will host Nigeria at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali, on Friday, before facing Lesotho at the same venue four days later.
The Amavubi currently lead Group C with seven points from four matches, putting them in a strong position in the race for a World Cup spot.
