Regina Daniels’ family alleges that Senator Ned Nwoko is planning to have her brother, Sammy West (Samuel Daniels), re-arrested despite Sammy being released on bail.
The family, particularly Sammy’s elder brother Lawrence Daniels (Sweezy), accuses Ned Nwoko of unlawfully influencing the arrest and is allegedly working behind the scenes to orchestrate a re-arrest by involving the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
They claim that Ned Nwoko paid NDLEA to detain Sammy again, which they describe as vindictive and unlawful because the Magistrate Court overseeing the case lacks jurisdiction over drug-related offenses, which should be handled only by a Federal High Court.
The situation emerged amid ongoing tensions between actress Regina Daniels and her husband Ned Nwoko, with prior allegations of domestic abuse and conflicting claims about drug use.
While Ned Nwoko accuses Sammy of harassment and disruptive behavior, Regina’s family sees Ned’s actions as an attempt to silence and intimidate Sammy through improper legal channels.
