Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has publicly accused her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of orchestrating the arrest of her siblings amid their ongoing marital dispute.
According to Daniels’ statements on social media, her elder brother and sister were arrested by the police, allegedly on the orders of Nwoko, with reports that her younger sister could be arrested soon if she does not comply.
She claimed that this was being used as leverage to force her to return home and undergo rehabilitation, which Nwoko insists she needs. Daniels further alleged that during the arrest, the police beat her brother and questioned the justification for such violent treatment.
The situation has escalated with Daniels expressing deep distress, accusing her husband of abusing his power and connections for personal vendetta. She also mentioned that her mother publicly protested for the release of the arrested siblings, accusing Nwoko of exploiting Regina’s fame and money.
Nwoko has denied the allegations, attributing the marital issues to Daniels’ alleged substance abuse.
The siblings are reportedly detained at Ogombo Police Station in Lekki, Lagos, and no official statement from the Nigerian Police Force or Ned Nwoko had been made publicly to confirm or refute the details at the time of reporting.
