President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sadness and condemnation over the killing of Nigerian soldiers, including Brigadier General Musa Uba, by ISWAP terrorists.
In a statement released through his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu commiserated with the military and the families of the fallen heroes, describing the incident as tragic.
He warned that the security forces cannot effectively protect citizens without public support and urged Nigerians, especially in affected communities, to cooperate with security agencies by sharing timely information to help combat terrorism.
Tinubu also sent a strong warning to the perpetrators, calling them cowardly offenders responsible for the heinous crimes.
His reaction underlined the seriousness with which his administration views the fight against ISWAP and terrorism in Nigeria.
