Nollywood actor Taye Arimoro has sued actress and producer Peggy Ovire for ₦100 million in damages and is demanding a public apology over an alleged assault on a movie set.

Arimoro’s complaint, dated November 18, 2025, claims that after his contract ended on November 11, he was prevented from leaving the set as his vehicle was blocked by the production manager and another car blocked the exit.

The situation escalated at the estate gate where Peggy Ovire and her team reportedly confronted him.

Arimoro alleges that his car tires were deflated, he was surrounded by several people, and he sustained injuries including a fractured jaw, bite marks, and bruises. He also claims his phone was tampered with during the incident.

His lawyers argue the assault violated his rights to personal liberty, movement, and dignity, causing emotional trauma and financial loss.

Peggy Ovire has seven days to respond to the lawsuit and has not publicly commented yet.
