Senator Ned Nwoko has publicly refuted allegations that he married actress Regina Daniels when she was 17 years old.
He clarified that when they first met, Regina told him she was 21 years old, supporting her claim with her Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) voter’s card, which indicated her birth date as October 10, 1998.
Nwoko stated he has kept this document since that time and shared it publicly to dispel misinformation. He also referenced a BBC interview with Regina’s mother that confirmed her age.
According to Nwoko, their marriage took place six years ago, making Regina 27 years old today. He described the claims of underage marriage as entirely untrue and misleading, urging the public not to accept them.
Meanwhile, there are opposing allegations suggesting Regina was underage, but Nwoko firmly denies these and provides the INEC card as evidence to confirm her age.
