
Police disperse Natasha’s supporters with tear-gas
Operatives of the Nigerian Police Force, this morning, fired tear gas at supporters of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, preventing them access to the National Assembly complex.
Besides, the embattled female Senator had been invited to appear before the senate committee on ethics, code of conduct and public petitions at 2pm today.
The protesters had converged on the national assembly gate as early as 8a.m. with various placards bearing inscriptions like: ‘Akpabio must go’, ‘Protect women’s rights’, ‘Protect Natasha at all cost.’

The protester also condemned the Senate President, Goodswill Akpabio asking him to step down for proper investigation into sexual harassment claim by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
They were, however, dispersed by the Policemen who fired tear-gas cannisters at them.
The crowd has now moved to the Unity Fountain.
