Nollywood actress Evan Okoro has publicly disclosed that her husband, Prince Chibuzor Nwachimelueze, has threatened her life following the collapse of their marriage. She stated that he threatened to kill her if she leaves the marriage, and she has been living in fear, prompting her to file a petition with the police.
Evan Okoro expressed regret over the union, noting that her husband had not paid her bride price and that despite efforts, the marriage could not be reconciled.
She also accused him of aggression and controlling behavior, including attempts to take money she earned and emotional and physical withdrawal from the relationship. She emphasized that her life is her priority now and that she does not want the marriage anymore due to these threats and fears.
Evan also revealed that her husband married her under the misconception that she was wealthy, citing the house she built before their marriage as an example. She mentioned there had been no intimacy since their wedding, and despite complaints to his family, no resolution was reached.
The actress urged caution and made a public plea for help, stating that she fears for her and her family’s safety.
