Max Air resumes flight operations as NCAA lifts suspension
Three months after the suspension of Max Air flight operations by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) following series of incidents on its activities, the regulatory authority has approved the resumption of the airline domestic operations.
The approval was prompted by the successful completion of an economic and safety audit by the NCAA.
A statement forwarded to the Media on Monday by the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, NCAA stated that “the Safety audit was conducted from February 26 to 28, 2025, and the results confirmed that Max Air’s capacity can sustain safe flight operations.”
NCAA further noted that it will continue to closely monitor Max Air through an enhanced surveillance program to ensure strict compliance with its regulations.
The Authority assured the public that it remains committed to ensuring that all airlines adhere to the highest safety standards for the continued well-being of the Aviation industry,
Max Air’s resumption of domestic flights is expected to provide relief to passengers who have been affected by the suspension.
