
Kelechi Iheanacho has signed for Celtic on a free transfer after mutually terminating his contract with Sevilla.
The Nigerian forward joined Celtic on a one-year deal, with the option of an additional year. He reunites with Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers, under whom he had played at Leicester City.
Iheanacho was brought in to replace Adam Idah, who left Celtic for Swansea City.
Iheanacho struggled to establish himself at Sevilla, making 11 appearances and spending part of the season on loan at Middlesbrough.
Rodgers expressed confidence in Iheanacho’s talent, experience, and ability to contribute significantly to the team during his peak years .
