The Universal Archaivar Elders (UAE) expresses deep sympathy to the management, on-air personalities, producers, engineers, and entire staff of Fresh FM following the devastating fire incident of August 15, 2025.

“Our hearts are with the Fresh FM family at this difficult moment,” said Elder Basorun Fayth Deleola Daramola, President of the Universal Archaivar Elders. “Fresh FM has been a vibrant voice for culture, community, and public interest. The organization encourages partners, cultural institutions, and well-meaning members of the public to lend practical assistance to Fresh FM’s recovery efforts, including technical support, temporary studio access, and staff welfare.

“In moments like these, resilience is born from community,” added Elder Tokunbo Skindudu, Yeye-mowe Ẹgbẹ́ Àgbà Elemu (General Secretary). “We are ready to collaborate with allied organizations to mobilize relief, provide well-being resources for affected staff, and help restore broadcast services swiftly and safely.”

UAE also urges broadcasters and facility managers to review and strengthen safety standards, covering fire suppression systems, electrical installations, emergency drills, and archival protection, so that vital cultural and news assets are better safeguarded against future incidents.
