Concurrently, the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary of that ministry, Barr Mustapha Nuruddeen Muhammad, has been transferred to the Ministry of Environment to serve as Permanent Secretary.

These changes are part of a minor cabinet reshuffle and senior staff postings approved by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Humanitarian Affairs, who was acting at the Ministry of Transport, will return to his substantive position at the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.

Governor Yusuf reiterated his administration’s dedication to accountability, efficiency, and purposeful leadership. He emphasized that the redeployments are aimed at maximizing capacity, aligning responsibilities, and ensuring effective delivery on the government’s mandate to the people of Kano State.

He also called on government officials to fully cooperate with the newly reassigned Commissioner to support his duties.

The Governor instructed all officials impacted by the reshuffle to formally hand over their responsibilities to the most senior officials in their respective ministries.
