Just-In: Natsha defies police warning, storms hometown with chopper

Thousands of Kogi residents welcomed the embattled Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Tuesday afternoon, as she arrived her countryhome in Ihima, Okehi local government area of the State, aboard a chopper.

The development defied the state government order banning public gathering and convoys as her jubilant supporters were seen singing and dancing around the town.

Apart from the state government that banned the gathering, the state police command also advised the Senator to cancel her sallah visit to her constituency just as the chairman of Okehi Local Government Area (LGA) Council, Hon. Amoka Eneji, had imposed a curfew on the LGA in order to stop the homecoming Sallah party by Senator Natasha.

But the mammoth crowd that welcomed her took the police by surprise as the chopper touched ground at about 1 p.m.

The massive crowd had gathered at her private residence as early as 7a.m. waiting anxiously to receive the Senator.
