Imisi, a contestant on Big Brother Naija Season 10, bravely shared her deeply traumatic childhood experience of being raped at the age of 12.
She revealed that after an altercation at home, she was sent away and ended up being taken to a man’s house and then brought to a church.
At the church, she was left alone in a dark storeroom where she was raped that very night and then again the following day in the same room. This dark period in her life left her profoundly shaken.
At the age of 13, she found out she was pregnant as a result of the assault and had to undergo an abortion, which compounded her trauma.
Imisi also spoke about how the incident instilled in her a lasting fear of being alone in dark or isolated spaces. Her candid recounting is a painful reminder of childhood abuse and the long-lasting emotional scars it leaves on survivors.
This revelation has touched many viewers and garnered support for her courage in speaking out about such a traumatic ordeal.
