Hilda Baci, the Nigerian chef and food content creator, has earned her second Guinness World Record plaque for a significant culinary achievement: cooking the world’s largest pot of jollof rice.
The record-breaking event took place in Lagos on September 12, 2025, where she and her partner Gino prepared 8,780 kilograms (about 19,356 pounds) of jollof rice.
This feat was officially verified by Guinness World Records, making her the first Nigerian chef to hold multiple Guinness titles.
This achievement follows her first record set in May 2023 when she completed a marathon cooking session lasting 93 hours and 11 minutes.
The two plaques symbolize her dedication and have been celebrated as major milestones in African culinary history, highlighting her passion and faith.
