Gunmen attack Enugu police station, kill officer, steal weapons
Gunmen attacked Awgu Divisional Police Headquarters, killing a police officer and stealing weapons.
Security forces were deployed after the attack, reinforcing police presence in the area.
A second attack on Inyi Police Station was repelled with no casualties.
The attack, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, March 24, 2025, resulted in the death of Police Constable Akpa Emmanuel.
The assailants also vandalized the station and stole weapons, leaving the area in a state of tension.
