Former Big Brother Naija star Deeone has slammed social commentator Verydarkman (VDM) over what he claims to be a ₦1,085,000 hotel bill in Auchi, Edo State, which VDM posted about during a project for his NGO.
Deeone criticized VDM for reckless and extravagant spending of donations meant for struggling Nigerians, sarcastically comparing the hotel cost to building a duplex with a swimming pool.
He questioned the appropriateness of such spending given the location and alleged that VDM was mismanaging public donations.
Deeone also dragged high-profile supporters of VDM into the dispute, calling out singer Davido for not monitoring his friends despite supporting VDM during a clash with the EFCC, and urging Davido to caution VDM.
He mentioned music executive Don Jazzy as another donor to VDM’s NGO and accused VDM of misleading Nigerians about a road project in Auchi, claiming it was actually carried out by Apostle Johnson Suleiman. Further, Deeone alleged that after the hotel expenses, VDM requested an extra ₦7 million from the NGO funds and withdrew another ₦3 million, intensifying his criticism.
This heated exchange reflects a strained relationship between Deeone and VDM, dating back to last year when Deeone accused VDM and his followers of causing the loss of his social media page .
