Nigerian singer Iyanya has voiced his optimism that his fellow artists, Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, will eventually come together to create a collaborative song. This statement comes in response to Davido’s recent assertion on a podcast that fans are partly to blame for the difficulty in getting the three artists to work together on a project.
Iyanya shared a viral clip from the interview on social media – X, encouraging the trio to put aside their differences and collaborate to increase their earnings.
He wrote, “Trolls trying to make money off trolling real hardworking Brothers. “It’s not easy to look away sometimes, especially when they come for someone or something so dear to your heart.
“I believe one day we will get that collaboration between david, Wiz and Burna.
“I am one of those in the industry who have been privileged to have worked with all three. “Let’s make music and get money.”
It’s worth noting that Wizkid and Burna Boy have a history of collaboration, having worked together on tracks like ‘B D’or’ and ‘Ginger.’ This partnership has resulted in some of their most popular songs, and fans have been eagerly awaiting a similar collaboration between Davido and either of the two artists. Despite their individual successes, the three artists have been unable to find common ground to work together on a project.
The lack of collaboration between Davido and Wizkid is particularly notable, given their years of anticipation from fans. While Burna Boy and Davido have previously collaborated on a song called ‘Trumpet’ before Burna Boy gained international recognition, Davido and Wizkid have yet to work together on a song.
Iyanya’s statement has sparked renewed hope among fans that the three artists will eventually put aside their differences and create music together. Only time will tell if this collaboration will become a reality.
