Big Brother Naija housemate Dede recently opened up about her feelings regarding the reactions of some fellow contestants to her clash with housemate Victory. During a heartfelt diary session with Big Brother (Biggie), Dede revealed that she was deeply saddened to discover that several housemates seemed pleased by their confrontation.
She shared that she was surprised to hear others perceive her as unapproachable and accused her of “doing too much” in the house. Reflecting on this, Dede recalled someone approaching her to discuss how some housemates viewed her. “Someone came to me and said, ‘Do you know people have a perception about you?’ And I was like, Cool, that’s the point of a perception—everyone has one. It doesn’t have to be right or wrong,” she said.
Despite her active participation in house activities—ranging from discussions and games to tasks—she was told that some feel she gives off an unwelcoming energy. “I’m like, how? Because I’m literally involved in everything that happens in the house,” Dede expressed.
Fighting back tears, Dede revealed that what hurt her most was learning that some housemates took joy in her disagreement with Victory. “The person went on to say that even when I had an issue with Victory, people were happy about it, and that made me really sad, but I didn’t show it,” she shared.
This honest confession offers a rare glimpse into the emotional challenges Dede faces as she navigates the complexities and dynamics inside the Big Brother Naija house.
