Jamie Carragher has expressed strong doubts about Chelsea’s chances of winning the English Premier League title with their current squad.
He criticized the quality of Chelsea’s goalkeeper and centre-backs, stating that with players like Robert Sanchez, Trevoh Chalobah, and Wesley Fofana in key defensive roles, Chelsea cannot win the league “in 100 years.”
Carragher acknowledged the good work of Chelsea’s manager, Enzo Maresca, but emphasized that despite the money spent, the defensive players’ standards are not sufficient to challenge for the title.
Chelsea currently stands sixth in the league and has had a stop-start season so far, with Carragher pointing to the defensive issues as a major obstacle to their title ambitions.
