Nigeria is set to host its first-ever global boxing event titled “Chaos in the Ring” on October 1, 2025, which coincides with Nigeria’s Independence Day.

The event will take place at the Balmoral Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, and will be streamed live worldwide on DAZN.

The event is organized by Balmoral Group Promotions in partnership with AK Promotions, led by former Olympian and world champion Amir Khan and Ezekiel Adamu, CEO of Balmoral Group Promotions.

This landmark occasion aims to showcase Nigeria as a global hub for boxing, featuring a blend of international stars and top Nigerian talent.
The main event will see cruiserweight contender Brandon Glanton fight Liverpool’s Rocky Fielding in a rematch.

The co-main event features former IBF world champion Richard Commey against Ray Seitzhanov. British, Commonwealth, and European champion Dan Azeez, who fights in Nigeria for the first time, will also headline.

Nigerian fighters such as Basit Adebayo will compete for the WBO Africa Title, along with several other exciting matchups of undefeated fighters.

The National Sports Commission of Nigeria supports the historic event, which is expected to inspire a new generation of African boxers and place Nigeria prominently on the world boxing map.

This October 1st event marks a major milestone for Nigerian and African boxing, aiming to elevate the sport’s profile and celebrate local and international boxing excellence.
