In a touching display of love and gratitude, popular content creator Egungun of Lagos, born Kuye Adegoke, has shared a heartwarming video showcasing the moment he surprised his wife, Pashotah, with renowned gospel singer Tope Alabi in the labour room. This special gesture followed the birth of their first child, a baby boy, on March 19th, 2025.

Egungun, who had previously announced the arrival of his newborn on Instagram, gave fans a glimpse into the emotional moments that unfolded after the birth. In the video, Tope Alabi is seen entering the maternity ward, where she begins singing praises to God. Overwhelmed with emotion, Pashotah is visibly stunned, covering her mouth in disbelief before embracing the singer and joining her in worship, shedding tears of joy.

This beautiful gesture has captured the hearts of many, with fans celebrating the couple’s new blessing. Egungun’s thoughtful surprise is a testament to his love and appreciation for his wife, who he proposed to on March 25th, 2024, marking the beginning of their journey together.

Egungun shared a video on his Instagram page showing how he arranged for popular gospel singer Tope Alabi to surprise his wife and new mum shortly after she gave birth to their son.

Tope Alabi entered Pashotah’s maternity ward, singing songs of praise to God. Overwhelmed with surprise, Egungun’s wife covered her mouth in shock before regaining her composure. She then hugged Tope Alabi and joined her in singing, overcome with emotion and tears.

Egungun accompanied the heartwarming video with the caption; “Surprised my queen 👑 @pashotah for bringing our little blessing into the world🥹❤️ Big thanks to @tope_alabi_.”
