Pay N300m or We Kill Captives, Attack Again, Kidnappers Warn Kwara Community
Armed kidnappers holding 10 victims from Isapa in Kwara State’s Ekiti Local Government Area have given the community a one-week ultimatum to pay a N300 million ransom, threatening to kill the captives and launch another deadly attack if their demand is not met.
The head hunter of Isapa, Mr. A. Adeyeye, confirmed that the kidnappers contacted the community and lowered their initial demand from N500 million to N300 million during negotiations.
“We pleaded with them to accept N5 million, but they refused,” Adeyeye said. “They warned that if we do not meet the N300 million demand within one week, they will kill the abductees. They also threatened to attack the community again and kill many more residents.”
Adeyeye added that the kidnappers claimed responsibility for a recent assault on the Ejiba community in neighboring Kogi State.
The victims were abducted on November 25, 2025, when armed bandits invaded the Isapa community.
Efforts to reach the Kwara State Commissioner of Police for comment have so far been unsuccessful. The commissioner recently cautioned the public during a press briefing against treating unverified social media reports as credible news.
