Coach Sells Osimhen’s Hat-Trick Boots, Announces N250,000 Giveaway
An assistant coach in Nigeria has sold a pair of match-worn boots gifted to him by Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen.
Olisa Eseasor, assistant coach of the Nigeria National League side Solution FC, put the boots up for sale for N1 million barely two months after receiving them. Osimhen last wore the boots when he scored a hat-trick for Nigeria against the Benin Republic in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in September.
Eseasor announced the sale on Saturday, stating he needed the funds to support his personal business. The boots were purchased by football administrator Fola Olatunji-David for an undisclosed fee.
On Sunday, Eseasor updated his followers on the sale and announced a N250,000 giveaway from the proceeds. “In order to give back to my mutual community… I’ll be doing a giveaway worth N250,000. N10,000 for 25 persons,” he posted, outlining a social media contest for the cash gifts.
Eseasor originally received the boots in September after publicly praising Osimhen for his hat-trick performance.
The sale comes as his club, Solution FC, suffered a 2-0 league defeat to Abakaliki FC on Saturday—a match Eseasor claimed was marred by “partial officiating.”
