Don Jazzy has signed the rising star CupidSZN to Mavin Records, officially announcing the signing in November 2025.

CupidSZN, born Stevenson Njoku Anyinachiso and raised in Port Harcourt, began his musical journey inspired by Juice Wrld and initially intrigued by trap music before shifting his focus to Afrobeats.

Notably, Don Jazzy revealed that CupidSZN’s father had sent him a direct message about his son’s talent four years ago when the artist was just 17, but the message was missed at the time.

Despite this, CupidSZN kept refining his craft and eventually impressed the Mavin team enough to join the label’s artist academy and earn a contract.
CupidSZN’s sound blends Afropop and Afrobeats with catchy beats and clever wordplay.

He has released singles such as “Service,” “I Want More,” and “Ifeoma,” and his debut EP, Myth eRA, serves as an introduction to his playful style. Don Jazzy expressed confidence in CupidSZN’s potential and praised his persistence and growth.

Being signed to Mavin Records places CupidSZN among influential Nigerian artists like Ayra Starr and Rema, with the latter having massive international success. The signing has been celebrated by fans, with some comparing CupidSZN’s style to Rema’s.
