Paystack has suspended its co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Ezra Olubi, following an allegation of sexual misconduct involving a subordinate that surfaced on November 12, 2025.

Alongside the allegation, several decade-old tweets by Olubi, posted between 2009 and 2013, have resurfaced containing sexually explicit remarks about colleagues, references to photographing a coworker’s thighs, and comments involving minors and sexualized fictional characters, which intensified public scrutiny.

Paystack stated that they take such matters extremely seriously and confirmed that Olubi has been suspended from all duties pending the outcome of a formal investigation.

The company emphasized a zero-tolerance stance on misconduct and has refrained from further comments to protect the integrity of the ongoing process.

Ezra Olubi has not responded publicly to the allegations or the resurfaced tweets and has deactivated his X (formerly Twitter) account.
