Nigerian Air Force Opens 2025 Recruitment for Airmen, Airwomen

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially announced the commencement of applications for its Airmen/Airwomen Basic Military Training Course 46/2025.

According to a statement released via its official X handle, the online registration process is free and will begin on October 14, 2025, closing on November 25, 2025.

Interested candidates are advised to apply through the NAF recruitment portal at [http://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng](http://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng).

Upon completing the application, candidates are required to print out the acknowledgement slip, parent/guardian consent form, and the Local Government Area (LGA) attestation form.

These documents must be duly signed by authorized officials from the applicant’s state of origin, which may include a military officer not below the rank of Wing Commander in the Nigerian Air Force or its equivalent in the Nigerian Army or Navy, a police officer of Chief Superintendent rank or higher, a substantive local government chairman or secretary, or a magistrate.

The LGA attestation form must also be accompanied by a passport photograph and a photocopy of the signee’s valid identification, which may include a driver’s licence, national ID card, or international passport.

Eligibility requirements specify that applicants must be Nigerian citizens and meet the minimum height standards of 1.66 meters for males and 1.63 meters for females.

All candidates must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit in accordance with NAF standards.

Applicants for non-trades positions must be between the ages of 18 and 22 and possess a minimum of five credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in no more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS. They are also required to provide their secondary school testimonials.

Tradesmen and women must be between the ages of 18 and 27 and hold ND or NCE qualifications with at least a lower credit from accredited institutions. They must also meet the five-credit requirement, including Mathematics and English, within two sittings.

Those applying for roles such as drivers or other trade-specific positions must present their trade test certificates and a valid driver’s licence in addition to meeting the academic criteria.

Applicants seeking to join as sportsmen or sportswomen must fulfill the academic requirements and provide verifiable evidence of professional experience, such as certificates and medals.

The Nigerian Air Force emphasized that all applicants must be free from any prior criminal convictions. A zonal general aptitude test will be conducted for shortlisted candidates, with the date to be announced on the recruitment portal.
