Lamentations, losses as fire guts popular Ibadan market
In the early hours of the morning, a huge fire spread through parts of Aleshinloye Market in Ibadan, Oyo State, leaving traders in anguish and lamentations.
The fire started around midnight and destroyed many properties, with losses estimated to be in the millions of Naira. Confirming the incident, Yemi Akinyinka, the General Manager of the Oyo State Fire Service, revealed that firefighting teams were battling the inferno at the scene.
