Popular Nigerian comedian and former Big Brother Naija star, Aderombi Adedayo Martin, known as DeeOne, kicked off his 40-hour stand-up comedy marathon on October 1, 2025, at midnight, aiming to break the Guinness World Record for the longest stand-up comedy performance.
The event is taking place in Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos, and is officially approved by Guinness World Records.
If successful, DeeOne will surpass the current record of 40 hours, 16 minutes, and 48 seconds set by Benny Elbows in April 2025. The marathon is closely monitored with a timer and is scheduled to end on October 4, 2025.
DeeOne’s attempt has drawn wide support from fans and fellow entertainers across Nigeria, marking an ambitious milestone for Nigerian comedy on the world stage.
