Thelma Lawson, an evicted contestant from Big Brother Naija Season 10, revealed why she never bonded with fellow contestant Isabella during the show.
She explained that she had hoped to develop a friendship with Isabella, especially because Isabella is a mother to a 14-year-old son, and Thelma wanted to learn from her perspective on life.
However, their relationship became strained due to a misunderstanding involving Kayinkunmi, a housemate Thelma was already friends with before entering the show.
Isabella misinterpreted Thelma’s closeness with Kayinkunmi as romantic, seeing Thelma as a potential rival.
The situation worsened when Thelma chose Kayinkunmi as her deputy during her time as Head of House, which Isabella reacted to strongly.
Thelma purposely kept the depth of her pre-existing friendship with Kayinkunmi private to avoid unnecessary drama and only clarified it when directly asked by other housemates.
By the time Isabella realized that nothing romantic existed between Thelma and Kayinkunmi, the damage to their relationship was already done, preventing the friendship that Thelma had hoped for.
