Just-In: President Tinubu, Fubara in Closed-Door Meeting at Aso Rock
President Bola Tinubu and Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara held a closed-door meeting at Aso Rock on Monday evening.
This was their first known encounter since Fubara’s reinstatement last Thursday, following the end of the six-month state of emergency in Rivers State.
The meeting began around 7:00 pm, with Fubara arriving alone at the President’s office complex.
Sources revealed that the governor came to personally thank President Tinubu for restoring peace in the state. He also took the opportunity to discuss key matters, including his list of commissioner nominees and the appropriation bill.
