Arsenal have officially signed Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace in a deal worth up to £67.5 million ($91 million).
The transfer includes a guaranteed £60 million plus £7.5 million in add-ons. Eze completed his medical for Arsenal on August 21, 2025, and formally joined the club shortly thereafter.
The signing came after Arsenal hijacked a move that Tottenham Hotspur was close to completing, with Tottenham having reached an initial agreement with Crystal Palace and personal terms with Eze. However, Eze, a boyhood Arsenal fan, made a last-minute phone call to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, which influenced his decision.
Arsenal moved quickly to secure the deal following an injury to Kai Havertz, which increased the urgency to bolster their attacking options.
Eze, who is 27 years old and formerly of Arsenal’s academy, has signed a four-year contract with an option for an extra year.
He will wear the No. 10 jersey and brings creative abilities and Premier League experience, having scored 14 goals and made 11 assists for Crystal Palace last season.
This signing marks Arsenal’s seventh addition of the summer transfer window and reflects the club’s ambition to strengthen its squad aggressively.
