Burna Boy has responded to allegations linking his unshaved armpits to juju (voodoo) powers. In a recent interview with Apple Music, the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer dismissed the rumors as baseless and amusing.
He explained that he simply does not like shaving his armpits, and some people have humorously or seriously speculated that his unshaved armpits are the source of his success, similar to the biblical story of Samson whose strength was in his hair.
Burna Boy described these claims as “dumb” and said he even tried to investigate whether such a belief could be possible, but found it ridiculous. He laughed off the juju insinuations and emphasized that such rumors reflect how far some people will go to spread sensational stories.
In essence, Burna Boy rejects the juju allegations entirely, attributing his success to his talent and hard work rather than any supernatural cause linked to his grooming choices.
