Ruben Dias has signed a contract extension with Manchester City that will keep him at the club until June 2029.
This extension adds two years to his previous contract, which was set to expire in 2027.
Additionally, there is an option for a further season until June 2030, potentially allowing him to stay for a decade at the Etihad Stadium.
Dias, who joined Manchester City from Benfica in 2020, has been a vital part of the team, winning four Premier League titles, the 2023 UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup, and the EFL Cup. He was also named the Premier League Player of the Year in his debut season.
The 28-year-old Portugal international expressed his happiness and pride in representing Manchester City, calling Manchester his home and emphasizing his commitment to competing for trophies with the club.
The club’s director of football praised Dias as a leader both on and off the pitch.
