VeryDarkMan (VDM), a social media activist, has alleged that the late singer Mohbad was “locked up” in relation to a viral video involving Naira Marley.

VDM shared this perspective on his Instagram story after Naira Marley released a video addressing the controversy surrounding him and Mohbad. In that video, Naira Marley mentioned that Mohbad received some royalties through his mother-in-law’s account and that money was also sent to Mohbad’s mother’s bank account.

VDM implied that Mohbad was figuratively “locked away” by someone or a group, and after being locked up, the “keys” to his freedom or release were discarded, referring to a “devilish act.” Although VDM did not specify the exact details, many fans interpreted this as suggesting that Mohbad was controlled or confined in some way behind the scenes.

Following VDM’s comments, fans reacted with mixed opinions. Some agreed, questioning why Mohbad’s money was sent to his mother-in-law’s account and expressing suspicion about her role. Others viewed VDM’s comments as potentially aiming to change the narrative or implicate others in Mohbad’s death.

This discussion stems from broader controversies around Mohbad’s finances and circumstances leading to his demise, including claims and speculations involving several people close to the singer.
Naira Marley, in his video, denied any bullying of Mohbad and stated he never sent anyone to intimidate him.

VDM later apologized to Naira Marley, acknowledging that some accusations made were out of emotion and that Naira Marley was innocent of the harsh criticisms he had faced earlier.
