Nollywood actor Jim Iyke recently sparked controversy with his remarks that single mothers alone recently sparked controversy with his remarks that single mothers alone cannot raise boys into “proper men” without male influence.

He stated that women are naturally built to nurture and love, but raising a boy into a man requires male guidance and influence.

Iyke emphasized that a woman cannot raise a man on her own and encouraged single mothers to seek the involvement of a brother, father, or trusted male figure in the upbringing of boys.

According to him, boys raised by single mothers alone may turn out to be weak men because male influence is essential for proper development into manhood.
