Danboskid, a contestant on Big Brother Naija Season 10, explained his early exit from the show by highlighting a critical issue with his branding and online visibility.
Before entering the house, he was required by the show’s management to change his well-known online name “King’s Juice” to “Danboskid” due to a legal and management dispute with the registered brand name.
This change meant that his social media handles were not updated, and fans watching the show could not find him online to support him as they would have searched for the name “Danboskid” and found nothing.
He noted that this disconnect had an immediate impact. After he left the show and updated his username, he gained over 10,000 followers within 24 hours.
Danboskid said fans reached out to apologize for not being able to find him during the show, and he realized the problem wasn’t that people didn’t like him but that they couldn’t connect with him online.
Additionally, Danboskid’s early eviction came alongside other challenges faced by some evicted housemates, including limited screen time and visibility to the audience.
This issue with fan recognition and branding was a primary reason he cited for his early departure from BBNaija Season 10.
Despite the early exit, Danboskid remains optimistic about leveraging the attention he’s now receiving to advance his career.
