Despite his baggage, I rallied North to vote for Tinubu in 2023, El-Rufai
Former governor of Kaduna State and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai has said that “despite the fact that President Bola Tinubu had a lot of baggage, he still rallied the North to vote for him in 2023.”
H also criticised the President on his choice of ministers and other political appointments, saying they were against the North.
He, however, said the Southwest should not be blamed for the sin of “one man,” just as some people are blaming the North for the skewed appointments under the military.
The former Minister in an interview with Arise Television, said the Yoruba are very good people and deserve respect of all Nigerians. “In fact, Yoruba believe in the concept of Omoluabi and not Area Boys.”
El-Rufai, who disclosed that 2027 will determine whether he is still politically relevant, declared Kaduna State governor Uba Sani “no longer my friend. Also the National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu is also no more my friend because they are witch hunting me and doing everything to destroy me because they have impression I wanted to contest presidency by 2031.”
