Thomas Tuchel, the head coach of the England men’s national football team, has announced a 24-man squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Tuchel began his role as England coach on January 1, 2025, succeeding Gareth Southgate, with the objective of guiding England to success at the 2026 World Cup in North America.

The squad selection reflects Tuchel’s strategic planning ahead of the qualifiers against Albania and Latvia in March, held at Wembley Stadium.

Tuchel has made clear his intent to take the qualifiers seriously, emphasizing respect for all opponents in England’s group, which includes Serbia, Albania, Latvia, and Andorra.

Tuchel’s management style brings a fresh approach after a successful tenure at clubs like Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain.

He has already identified part of the World Cup squad with 16 players confirmed for the tournament, with room for additional selections.

His coaching staff includes Anthony Barry as assistant, and the team is preparing rigorously with a focus on reaching the top level in time for the tournament start.

Tuchel’s contract runs until the end of the 2026 World Cup, and he is aiming for victory with England after their previous near successes in recent major tournaments .
