Only two Nigerians have been nominated for the 2025 Ballon d’Or awards in women’s football: goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu. Nnadozie is nominated for the Women’s Yachine Trophy (best goalkeeper), and Madugu is nominated for Women’s Team Coach of the Year.
There are no confirmed reports of two Nigerian female footballers being nominated; the two nominations are for one female player (Nnadozie) and one female coach (Madugu). Thus, the nomination count for Nigerian female footballers as players remains just one Chiamaka Nnadozie.
